Disable Windows Key

To enable or disable the Windows key shortcut in Windows, follow these steps:

Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
Run Image



Type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.


Navigate to the following location in the Registry Editor:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout

Right-click on the "Keyboard Layout" folder and select "New" -> "Binary Value" from the context menu.

Name the new binary value "Scancode Map" (without quotes).

Double-click on the "Scancode Map" value and enter the following binary data:

To disable the Windows key shortcut:

00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 00 00 5B E0 00 00 00 00

To enable the Windows key shortcut:

00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 5B E0 00 00 5C E0 00 00 00 00

(Note: Copy the entire line including spaces and paste it into the "Value data" field in the Registry Editor.)

Click "OK" to save the changes and close the Registry Editor.

Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
